STAMPtember just got a whole lot CHEESIER!

Hello friends! As I’m sure you all know, Simon Says Stamp is currently hosting STAMPtember all month long on their site. They not only have awesome sales and specials, but they also have exclusive releases.

Lawn Fawn teamed up with Simon to create one of the cutest Christmas sets I’ve ever seen! The set is called Merry Christmouse and filled with fun, cuteness, and lots of cheese. 🙂

For this card, I used the Merry Christmouse set to heat emboss a background using Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder. I also silver heat embossed my cute mouse scene on a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock with the same embossing powder.

Do you love the scalloped borders? Those are one of Lawn Fawn‘s newest stand-alone die sets called Scalloped Rectangles. It is a huge set that comes with TONS of sizes… a definite MUST HAVE.

The gold piece is a foiled cardstock from DCWV that i cut with one of Lawn Fawn‘s Stitched Rectangles. I just love how a super cheesy set like this can be called elegant as well.

Well done, Dad! Foiled Let’s BBQ Father’s Day Card

My dad sure hit the jackpot creating me! He’s so lucky…

… but so am I to have a dad like him!

Today I have another video tutorial for you! This card was so fun and QUICK to create… I think it only took me 35 minutes!

Snow-Globe Stampendous Penquins Card

It’s Holiday Time!!! To thank Die Cuts with a View (or DCWV as most of you know it) for featuring my card on their Instagram the other day, I wanted to do another card using another one of their 6×6 paper stacks.

I promise this card will WOW any receiver! I wanted to allow the sequins inside the card to have the ability to move giving the illusion of a snow-globe and I think I accomplished just that.

I started out by stamping the Stampendous Penguin Pair Stamp that I just got from Michaels. (I’m really sorry to add that I could not find a store link ANYWHERE on the internet for this stamp. If I would have known this, I would have used a different stamp. Any Christmas character stamp would look fabulous with this type of card technique.)

After stamping them, I colored the pair with my COPIC Markers resulting in some really beautiful blends. I used C1 and C3 for the white portions of their bodies, C5, C7, and 100 Black for the black parts of their bodies, all of the YG group listed in my supplies at the bottom of this post for two different green looks for their accessories, and R22, R24, and R29 for the red portions of the accessories.

They turned out absolutely adorable in my book.

I then used 4 sheets of the new Heavy-Weight Neenah Cardstock and cut circle windows with one of my Spellbinders Classic Circles Dies in each piece. I then made a sandwich starting with one piece of the cardstock, a sheet of acetate, two more sheets of the cardstock, sequins, the penguin piece, the last sheet of cardstock, and finally a beautiful gold foil sheet of paper from the DCWV Foil Solids 6×6 Stack.

I took some pictures during the assembly.

The “sandwich style” allows the sequins enough room to move, but not enough to escape out of the card.

I then adhered this thick panel to a piece a Bazill Blueberry Sour Cardstock  which makes the gold foil really POP beautifully. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the same Kelly Purkey Cheers Stamp Set that I’ve used in a bunch of my cards lately.

I just adore this card. It looks so complicated to create, but it is actually pretty easy and looks so clean and polished. Let me know what you think!
